AHF BRINGS TOGETHER THREE TOP COMMERCIAL BRANDS – ARMSTRONG FLOORING™, PARTERRE®, AND AHF CONTRACT® – TO REDEFINE FLOORING DESIGN
June 12, 2023
With a renewed focus on design and a longstanding commitment to quality, AHF brands combine aesthetics, flexibility, and proven performance in a wide range of products.
The AHF Products 2023 NeoCon® theme, “UNITY,” brings together the company’s three top commercial brands – Armstrong Flooring™, Parterre®, and AHF Contract® – along with high-performance products in innovative designs that are ideal for a range of applications including Healthcare, Retail, Education, Hospitality and more.
Armstrong Flooring™ offers luxury vinyl tile (LVT), vinyl composition tile (VCT), and specialty flooring solutions for every commercial segment. New to the portfolio is Natralis™, a bold and innovative sheet vinyl collection, as well as the newly refreshed, top-selling Meditone™ homogeneous sheet line in a revitalized color palette. Parterre® offers LVT and hardwood products with unsurpassed quality and performance. The AHF Contract® product portfolio includes homogeneous and heterogeneous sheet and LVT.
Among the products to be highlighted at NeoCon 2023 are:
Armstrong Flooring™ VCT, readily available, boasts a legacy of over 150 years with a history of exceptional performance. AHF Products is the only VCT (vinyl composition tile) manufacturer in the United States. These products withstand heavy foot and rolling load traffic and the exclusive Fast Start Factory Finish makes initial maintenance quick and easy. VCT offers a low-carbon footprint – its main ingredient is 85% North American limestone which is locally quarried.
Natralis™ Homogeneous Vinyl Sheet commercial flooring is being introduced by AHF Products under the Armstrong Flooring™ brand. Natralis™ is inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of North America and the mesmerizing “spot” patterns found in nature. The Natralis™ collection is a true masterpiece of design and craftsmanship, thoughtfully created to bring the wonders of the outdoors into healthcare and education settings. The warm and cool neutrals, combined with earthy tones and pops of vibrant colors, draw inspiration from the beauty of natural life and landscapes, creating a space that is both serene and invigorating. True through-pattern construction provides even wear and a consistent appearance along with superior gouge and abrasion resistance. Its coating resists soil, stains, scratches, scuffs, and abrasions, and it is easy to heat weld and flash cove for spaces that demand superior infection control. The floor’s easy maintenance and no polish required minimizes cleaning time and disruption.
Armstrong Flooring™ Medintone™ Homogenous Vinyl Sheet is engineered to withstand heavy traffic and staining for a true low-maintenance floor perfect for healthcare and education environments. The floor’s coating resists soil, stains, scratches, scuffs, and abrasions. It is easy to heat weld and flash cove for spaces demanding superior infection control. Polishing is not necessary, which minimizes cleaning time and disruption. With a broad palette of coordinating colors and patterns, these floors withstand heavy foot and rolling load traffic and are designed to look beautiful for years to come, despite daily maintenance and rigorous disinfection protocols.
In addition, the company offers Armstrong Flooring™ branded Unify™, a Quick Ship LVT. A simplified 2.5-mm LVT assortment, the Unify™ Collection features warm wood and textile visuals, influenced by minimalistic Scandinavian design.
The Ascendant® LVT collection under the Parterre® brand features 3mm wood grain designs in each pre-cut pattern for floor installations. Each pattern comes in a selection of Parterre’s most popular wood grains, including rich walnuts, mid-tone woods and a variety of maple and oak options that offer variations in tone and color. There are nine designs offered in herringbone and chevron cuts for a total of 18 different options. Each chevron floor plank is 4.25” x 17” x 3mm, and each herringbone floor plank measures 4” x 24” x 3mm.
The herringbone designs feature a 0.55mm micro bevel, which is a small slope on the edge of the plank that provides more definition on the floor. The chevron designs feature a straight edge. The nine wood grain flooring designs for both chevron and herringbone patterns use the glue down installation method, also known as dryback LVT, which involves using a manufacturer’s recommended adhesive to adhere the back of the LVT to its base. Each individual plank is secured to the subfloor, making it among the most durable and secure of all LVT flooring options.
Also, under the Parterre® brand, is a robust selection of commercial engineered hardwood. Parterre® engineered hardwood floors are easy to maintain and feature a high-performance UV coating with an oxidized finish that results in smooth texture, low gloss levels and lasting durability. Clean by sweeping or vacuuming and use hardwood and laminate floor cleaner as needed. Choose from floating, glue down or staple methods for installation. Parterre® commercial engineered hardwood collections are FloorScore® certified for compliance with indoor air quality emissions. The products are compliant with the U.S. Lacey Act, which is a conservation law that prohibits illegal practices relating to wildlife, fish, and plants. They are also compliant with CARB Phase II, a California-based act that focuses on wood products and sustainability. Parterre ® products may be eligible for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED ®) credits. [Featured is Wooded Habitat, a U.S.-made hardwood, ideal for practically any space, especially multi-family environments. An affordable, artistic flooring solution, Wooded Habitat features a total of eight SKUs that include maple, birch, and hickory. The colors range from light and modern to darker and more traditional tones.]
AHF Contract® Mixed and Variegated™ Homogeneous Vinyl Sheet Flooring offers a selection of 19 popular colors combined with an innovative coating technology, resulting in a floor that is beautiful and built to last. Homogeneous vinyl flooring uses a single layer to add vibrancy and color depth. In addition, it delivers incredible durability and stain resistance to withstand heavy commercial use.
Within the Nod to Nature™ AHF Contract® portfolio, every design comes in three distinct structures: Rewilding™, Dry Back Traditional LVT; Individuality™, Loose Lay Thick LVT; and Visionary™, SPC Rigid Core. The same designs, including wood, linen, and stone visuals, are offered in multiple constructions so that customers can select a look in the construction that best suits their needs, making it easy to find the right flooring for any contract space. Each format delivers superior performance thanks to HartGuard® Ultrashield which not only provides resistance to dents and stains, but the exceptionally durable surface makes it easy to clean – simple maintenance with damp mopping. The collection features a 15-year commercial warranty, plus the floors are FloorScore® certified and include the exclusive Cleantivity® antimicrobial technology which inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew that could affect the floor. These floors are ideal for use in healthcare, assisted living, education, corporate, hospitality, retail, and institutional interiors.
